Statewide Evacuation Guides and Maps and New Orleans Evacuation Information (NEW)
These guides (linked from the Louisiana State Police website) are an excellent resource to assist you in planning for hurricane season. This year there will be no shelter of last resort for the city of New Orleans. Be sure to get familiar with the city's City Assisted Evacuation Plan. The CAEP is not intended to replace your personal responsibility in preparing your own evacuation plan, however. It is meant for those citizens who have no other means or have physical limitations that prohibit self evacuation.

Hurricanes Katrina and Rita Relief and Recovery Assistance Guide (NEW)
A guide created by the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster to provide information to persons affected by the Hurricanes. The Guide is arranged in sections based on needs and the types of services provided. Within each section is a table arranged to show help available nationally and for selected states. Each program's information includes what they can do for you and how you can contact them.

New York and New Jersey Hurricane Assistance Guide (NEW)
The purpose of this guide is to offer information on local resources that may be helpful to people who were impacted by the 2005 Gulf Coast Hurricanes. It was created in response to the diverse needs of the evacuee community and is designed to provide those in need, and those who serve them, with up-to-date information on services and referrals.
